Duck!
So the famed Peking Duck is fairly dissimilar to the restaurant concoction we all know. It's got...like...about a centimetre more fat. But that's ok. It's long gone. This has been a hell of a workout, if nothing else.
Been busy walking pretty much everywhere. The Great Wall, then the Ming Tombs, then the Summer Palace yesterday (followed by the famed duck), then today we did Tiannamen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Temple of Heaven (which has a resounding likeness to the Chinese Cultural Centre in Calgary - not surprising since the latter was modeled on the former).
So, I'm tired. Tour is pretty cool in general - the other people here are pretty nice, even the ones from Edmonton who are rubbing it in my face that the Flames are out of the picture. Speaking of which...you'll have to wait till pictures are online.
On to Xi'an tomorrow (better known as the city closest to where all the clay soldiers were dug up), then Shanghai later this week, so they can milk us out of whatever cash we haven't yet spent.
