Back now
So...jet lag makes you utterly stupid, I've discovered. Flight back was a bit ugly. The standard economy-seating-for-twelve-hours. But we made it.
And in the meantime, the three or four days we had left in Hong Kong were not bad at all. Mostly consisted of visiting with relatives and eating (you know that sensation you get after a buffet or otherwise large meal when you've had waaaay too much? Imagine feeling that way for days), but we stopped at various points both scenic and touristy.
My mother's home village is now a museum. Well. At least it's still standing, unlike most of the places she remembered growing up.
So... onwards to a couple of days of relative boredom and compulsive-email checking. Gotta be able to foot the bill for the last three weeks of craziness somehow, after all.

Welcome back yourself :P
I was in Vancouver briefly on my way between Hong Kong and Calgary but was severely lacking in, you know, energy...

Speaking of Vancouver, I'm driving out that way soon for a wedding.
